Jay Makes It -- TWO DOWN THREE TO GO!

Day 90, January 30. Rio Grande to Ushuaia Tierra Del Fuego!

I knew 250kms of the same a waited me. But it was the last leg of the journey and I was excited. Still pouring rain, I suited up, plastic bags on my feet, I was dry and ready for the tourture ahead. And that it was, fresh snow not far above in the mountains and alot of slippery mud. So much mud infact, the cement like stuff totaly clogged the air flow to my radiator and the bike over heated in the near freezing conditions temperatures.

Seeing the signs, and knowing I was growing closer and closer to Ushuaia seemed to numb the cold. A strange sense of trriumph overcame me. Although I was a little saddened to be arriving with out my 4 team mates. Never the less, I had made it! 26000kms from Nelson B.C. Canada! "Fin del Mundo," The End Of The World!

What a great feeling , I just cruized the city streets for the first half hour. I was so, proud of our acomplishments and the goals we`d set out to do, had been done. The Journey was over. For two of us anyhow. 3 to go, good luck boys. I manged to find our 5 star oasis hotel with less trouble than Jim.

The "Las Hayas Resort Hotel" is outstanding, it`s staff and accomodation are some of the best you`ll find anywhere in the world. A special thanks to them. Just like my pal, all three of my days here will be spent at the, "Don Guido Cyber Cafe." Unlike my pal, I have no typing skills, kind of a search and peck system. Thank you Don, and staff for your patience. Now what you ask? I dont know either, back up north to Buenos Aires (where it`s warmer), mabey a week there, then to Rio Dejanaro. After that it`s kinda up in the air. I`ll just wing it and see what happens.

Another HUGE thank you to all our sponsors and many supporters, you`ve all been very generous. Bien viaje, caio.

- Jason.
